Mike Phillips grew up in an atheist family in Canada during the turbulent 1960s. During that season, Mike became a follower of King Jesus through a group called the Jesus People, a group of happy hippy Jesus followers.
He has planted two churches, restarted two others and been used as an evangelist and coach to help other churches reach more of their community.
Mike has been a pastor for 38 years with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. In addition, he speaks around the world to missionary and church conferences on the topics of “Hearing God’s Voice”, “Healthy Relationships”, “Deep Inner Healing”, “The Power of the Holy Spirit.” Mike is also a trained therapist, utilizing memory processing and Reality Therapy approaches to working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger, and substance abuse issues.
Mike and his wife Kathy have four children: Ruth-Ann, John, Andrew, and Meaghan. Mike is currently the Interim Lead Pastor of Hillside Alliance Church, preaching on Sundays and helping to coach the other pastoral leaders in their gifts and callings.
“Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”- John 5:19

"My story is one of recovery and family restoration. I have (3) grown daughters; Sarah, Mary and Melissa. Their nearness to my heart, has served as a great and necessary inspiration for me to be a good man of God. God i thank you for them. God has recently given me the privilege of living in covenant marriage for the first time in my life. Maria and I married on February 14, 2015. I am licensed as an Official Worker with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Maria and I serve with the Celebrate Recovery ministry, Sunday junior church, and mid week prayer meeting. Life Story "I was born and raised in a Christian home. My maternal grandfather was a lay evangelist and at an early age I felt God's presence and knew He was real. I did wander into the world for a very short time, but never did I stop believing in God. In fact, I often prayed for protection during that phase of my life, and I'm here today because God's mercy, love, and grace.
At the age of 12 I picked up my dad's old guitar and have not stopped playing since. When I was 13 I played guitar for a Christian group and traveled locally with them. At one time I aspired to be a Jazz guitarist, but never took it serious. I grew fond of playing guitar for the church's youth group where my praise and worship journey began and where I met my wife. It was through music that I found my purpose in serving God. It gives me great joy when I see and hear people singing praises to God, and I can only imagine how much joy God feels when His children respond to his goodness and love through praise and worship.
I've served as a worship leader for several churches in the Bay Area.
I am the Pastor of Worship and Music and currently on the Ministerial Study Program through the Christian Missionary Alliance.
I thank God for my wife, Laudicea and the 4 children He gave us, Justin, Jessica, Megan, and Jenica. Of course, the many foster children that we took care of over the years. I'm an avid road cyclist and love long walks with my wife.
As Pastor of Worship, my hope is that more and more lives find the peace and grace that passes understanding through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And that their worship be a response to God's reality in their lives.
Kristoffer Ramos - Staff Pastor/Elder
"I was born and raised in the Philippines and in 1995 my family and I emmigrated here. I was 16 at the time. I wasn't raised in a Christian household but having raised in a catholic household I was very much aware of who God is, although I knew Him I never really had a relationship with Him."
"God called me out of the darkness and into His marvelous light on June 6, 2001 and my life has never been the same after that. It is with this wonderful new life that I aspire to serve Him in everything that I do. My hobbies are reading, music, and I love Rock Climbing."
"I have been serving in ministry for over a decade and during that time I was the Youth Pastor of our church. As years passed on I felt the calling of God to minister to Young Adults and that is in that capacity that I am serving Him in His kingdom."
"As I serve at Hillside Alliance Church it is my hope and desire to reach out to our community and to Young Adults particularly to share the beauty, marvel, and grandeur of God's grace, love and mercy."
"God has recently blessed me with a beautiful wife and partner in ministry on September 23, 2017."
"God demonstrated His love for us in this; that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

Gregory Jack - Pastor in Memoriam
aka "PG" or "Big Al"
"Greg grew-up in a Christian home as a P.K. (Preachers Kid) and established a relationship with Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a young age of 12."
"Greg never wanted to be a pastor because that was his dad’s job. After a few years of being a prodigal (living for his self) Greg had an encounter with the Lord that called him into ministry and he rededicated his life to Him."
"While serving in ministry he went through counseling and ministerial training program through the Christian & Missionary Alliance. "
"On October 19, 2016 Pastor Greg Jack has gone to be with the Lord. He is remembered by his loving wife Maria his children Sophia and Alex, friends and the many lives he has touched. He is surely missed."
